Recently, ABA New Materials Group has achieved a milestone breakthrough: its core product – ABA Integrated Composite Air Duct – successfully withstood a 132-minute intense fire test conducted by Furgo, a globally authoritative testing institution, and fully met the 2-hour fire resistance certification requirements of Europe's top standards such as BS EN 1366-1:2014+A1:2020. This is not just a test report, but also the best confirmation of ABA's concept of "Innovative Intelligent Manufacturing for Safety", marking that China's intelligent manufacturing has reached the international leading level in the field of building fire safety.

The integrated composite air duct that passed this rigorous test is assembled using 30mm-thick "Model 30600" THE CORAL Boards.Behind its outstanding performance lie three core technologies independently developed by ABA:
Self-developed inorganic polymer cementitious system: It forms a stable covalent bond network, endowing the material with extraordinary stability at high temperatures.
Aerogel-like foaming technology: It constructs honeycomb-shaped closed microcells inside the material, which effectively blocks heat conduction. With a thermal conductivity as low as 0.16 W/(m·K), it achieves extreme heat insulation.
Micron-scale polycrystalline inorganic whiskers: Acting like the "bones and muscles" of the material, they significantly enhance compressive strength and impact resistance.
It is the integration of these three core technologies that enables this air duct to maintain remarkable structural integrity and heat insulation in intense flames, securing a precious 2 hours for life-saving evacuation routes.

Fire Resistance Rating: Two types of composite air duct products with European Standard certification, featuring 1-hour and 2-hour fire resistance ratings respectively. They have withstood the stringent requirements of European Standard fire resistance testing, meeting the needs of various types of buildings.
Safety & Environmental Protection: Made of Class A1 non-combustible materials, with smoke toxicity reaching Safety Class AQ1 (equivalent to the European Standard smoke toxicity Class T0), ensuring no increased toxic risks in case of fire.
Stability & Durability: The material contains no chloride ions (content < 0.1%), with no permanent halogen return or pulverization. Its softening coefficient exceeds 80%, and the designed service life is as long as 50 years.
Lightweight yet High-Strength: With a bulk density of only 600kg/m³, its weight is reduced by over 50% compared to traditional solutions. However, it boasts excellent mechanical properties with a flexural strength of ≥18.6MPa, effectively reducing building loads.
Integral Molding: Prefabricated in the factory and assembled on-site in modules, it completely eliminates the risk of fire spread. The number of construction procedures is reduced by 2/3, and installation efficiency is improved by over 50%, significantly shortening the construction period.
With its simplified structure of "one layer replacing three layers", it effectively improves the utilization rate of building space and significantly reduces the comprehensive cost for owners, realizing the triple values of "cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and safety assurance".
ABA's integrated composite air duct system has been successfully applied to a series of domestic and international benchmark projects, including the Domestic Transfer Warehouse in the South Area of Shenzhen Airport, the New Energy Plant of GAC Group, and South China Normal University (Shanwei Campus). Its stability and outstanding performance have won high recognition from property owners and design institutions.
